Dental Infections

Dental infections are mainly caused by decayed teeth. They are usually of microbial etiology and if not treated in time, it is possible to spread to adjacent anatomical spaces resulting in difficulty in swallowing, breathing and other serious complications. They are manifested by pain, swelling, weakness, fever and redness of the area.

Dental infections are treated by removing the cause that caused them, that is, by removing or treating the offending tooth, draining the purulent discharge, if present, and administering broad-spectrum antibiotics, depending on the case.
